A strategic site in Kent having problems with supplying enough carpark spaces for their own staff and visitors due to unsolicited parking, asked for a solution to manage the entry and exit points of their carpark.
At the carpark entrance a 6m FAAC barrier has been installed with ANPR – automatic number plate recognition, so staff can automatically enter. Proximity fob access control is in place should staff use a different car to the one registered on the ANPR system. Visitors can access via FERMAX video intercom direct to the main security office.
A one way dragon’s teeth strip has been fitted to the exit, to prevent users from gaining entry via the exit point.
EDGE ANPR: Flexible, modular and unique this weatherproof and robust camera is the latest generation ANPR cameras.
FAAC Barriers: The modular beams make this barrier a product which is easy to manage and handle. Safe performance and reliability its “everlasting” springs, allows it to exceed 2,000,000 cycles of continuous-use, raising 6 m beams in less than 6 seconds, in total safety, due to the reverse on contact feature and laser presence sensor.
