Back To The Future: 1988 to Now and Beyond!
What was occurring in 1988 ?
The most popular toy was the Nintendo Entertainment System. On the music scene, Rick Astley won a Brit Award for Best British Single with “Never Gonna Give You Up” and George Michael was convincing us that we got to have “Faith.” Countryfile, Red Dwarf and This Morning all hit the small screen for the first time this year, whilst Rainman, Die Hard and a Fish Called Wanda were on the big screen. Vauxhall launched the third generation of its popular Cavalier hatchback and saloon for us everyday people. Whilst for the big boys Jaguar unveiled the world’s fastest production car with a top speed of 220 mph, their new XJ220.
A star was born – Adele MBE is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, and also double Gold Winter Olympian Elizabeth Anne Yarnold OBE the most successful British Winter Olympian and the most successful Olympic Skeleton athlete of all time from any nation took her first breath. On the business front, Secure Engineering commenced trading suppling CCTV to fully Integrated Security and Business Systems.
30 years on, like Countryfile, we have had the odd change of cast and crew but our core team, our sincere work ethics and values remain the same. As with Nintento and the ever changing world of technology we have had to up our game and our ability to adapt and evolve with climate demands and market trends. As George Michael said “You’ve Got To Have Faith” As we have faith in our Team and our Product our Customers have faith that we will provide and deliver; and without our loyal Customers where would we be, and yes you’ve guess it as Rick Astley would say we’re “Never Gonna Give You Up, Never Gonna Let You Down” !
So what does this mean ?

In our 30th year we continue to grow our team with an additional Senior Engineer & two new trainee engineers – keep an eye on our Meet the Team pages for their introductions, coming soon.

By the way did you know that the concept of the World Wide Web was first discussed at CERN in 1988 – where would we be without it !
