Leeds Castle CCTV System
The Leeds Castle Foundation and Secure Engineering have worked together to develop a very effective CCTV system. The requirement for CCTV at the castle, has been driven by the increasing number of high profile visitors to conferences, as well as being used for observing the extensive grounds where thousands of visitors enjoy the range of activities at Leeds Castle – from concerts to fireworks, children’s events, open air theatre and hot air ballooning.
Special order cameras and camera columns in matt black, ensure they are as unobtrusive as possible.
Fully functional cameras use the latest technology to provide colour images in very low light conditions.
They provide full repetitive 360 degree coverage without external cables at the camera head, and a 22 x zoom capability.

Using the latest video transmission and telemetry technology Cat 5 cabling was installed, as some of the cameras are up to 1.5km from the CCTV control room. At a fraction of the cost of traditional fibre-optic cabling.
“An up to date CCTV system is essential nowadays. It provides us with an extremely valuable tool to ensure all our visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience”.
