COLOUR: it's the new Black and White!

Are you a CCTV user, still staring at the black and white, or to give it the correct term, monochrome images on your CCTV system? Times have changed, technology has moved on and with it prices have decreased with the demand.

Here at Secure Engineering Ltd, we are never surprised to hear the same two lines time and again;

  "The Police aren't interested in my CCTV; they can't see who's breaking in because the pictures are black and white!"

or

"Our CCTV's no good, why bother - you can't see the criminals with their hoodies on – especially in black and white!"

There is a surprisingly simple solution to giving you better pictures (we can even do something to help overcome the Hoody problem - contact us for details)

Monochrome images have their place; they are still the best way of keeping a reassuring eye on your property at night time with the aid of an infra-red lamp. But clear, high-resolution no-nonsense colour pictures are what's needed during the daytime. Modern colour cameras will usually work better in darker conditions than older monochrome only units, with all the advantages of colour.

Most systems comprise of a recording medium such as a DVR (Digital Video Recorder), a monitor, a cable infra-structure and some cameras.

But did you know that the upgrade to colour pictures may only require your camera units to be replaced?
