It's Christmas once more! It's looking to be a white snowy one too! Those of us that are old enough can remember a decade when it was more usual to have a white Christmas. Those of us that are old enough can also remember early CCTV cameras made in the 1970's such as the KGM 113 and Pye Super Lynx - real blasts from the past. These were still around in the early 1980's when I started in the CCTV industry. I have a few of these old CCTV cameras at our office in East Sutton to remind me of days when CCTV Engineers were really talented Engineers like those we have at Secure Engineering today. Back to the present then. This time of year brings a mixture of thoughts nowadays, as we all prepare to make the most of the special day we find ourselves under some pressure to get all these preparations completed so that the day will be special. The fact that we do this does prove that Christmas is special to all of us no matter what our faith. This is the thought then that I hold in my head, when I am confronted by long queues at the checkouts,queues for a parking space to appear, traffic jams and that special sort of behavior some people exude at this time of year - I think that these are all people preparing for a special day. Then when that special day comes, people gather together and a magical transformation happens when an adult becomes for one day a 7 year old child . Wearing outfits of colour that they would not be seen in through out the year, but some how that extravagant outfit goes well with a sophisticated pair of Reindeer antlers or a Father Christmas hat . There is a lot of fine food, drink, children being amused, families being amused, laughter, jollity and snoring after lunch. That’s leaves me just to say to all : “ A MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a
